How It Started: The Blog Nobody Could Find
I have been building websites since I was a teenager. So when COVID hit and the world slowed down, I did what a lot of people did. I started reading about ways to make passive income.
Everywhere I looked, people were talking about blogs. Build one, grow an audience, and let brands and ads do the rest. I had always wanted a place to share my hobbies, so I jumped in.
I built Sass and Inspiration, a home for my sewing projects, gluten-free baking, and DIY tips. I wrote the articles, took the pictures, filmed the videos, and hit publish.
And nothing happened.
Not a slow start. Nothing. No visitors, no comments, no sign anyone knew it existed. I had poured everything I loved into it, and it was sitting on the internet completely invisible.
If you have ever built something you were proud of and watched it go nowhere, you know exactly how that feels.
Learning SEO and Digital Marketing the Long Way
So I went back to the web to figure out how to get people to my site, and that is when the technical stuff and terms came in full force. SEO, indexing, backlinks, algorithms. Every answer came with ten new terms. I got overwhelmed, and I tabled the whole project with complete disappointment.
But I could not stop thinking about it. Why did some sites show up while mine did not? What did all of that technical language actually mean?
So I started researching. At first I found YouTube videos explaining everything, then I invested in advanced training in SEO, web development, and digital agency strategy, and dove in deep.
And that is when everything changed.
Because once it started making sense, I realized my blog had never been the problem. The content was good. The passion was real. Search engines simply had no idea what it was or who it was for. That was not bad luck, and it was not a secret only big companies knew. It was something that could be learned, built, and fixed on purpose.
And then I saw the same thing happening everywhere I looked. Great businesses, real passion, completely invisible online.
I have since tabled the blog, and one day I may start it up again, but for now my multi-passionate self has enough to do. Honestly, at this point I have found something I love even more which is helping other people get found for what they love to do.
Why Byte of Inspiration Digital Exists
The name came straight from that first blog. I kept the word Inspiration, added a byte for the digital world, and built a business around a new question: how can I inspire other businesses to grow online?
I am multi-passionate. I always have been. Five hobbies on one blog was probably your first clue. Owning a business is how I get to keep all of it: the work I love, the family I love, and the time to garden, sew, bake, and get outside. That is not a side benefit. It is the whole reason I do this.
And it is what I want for the people I work with. Most business owners started because they loved something. They deserve to spend their time doing that, not wondering why nobody can find them online.

Meet Alexis Outside of Work
Hi! Before I’m your digital marketing expert, I’m a wife and a mom, which means my toughest clients live under my roof.
My husband, Jon, is my best friend and my partner in pretty much everything. Well, almost everything! In November 2025, we welcomed our son, Titus, a happy, healthy little guy with a very strong love for rocks, cars, and people. Not quite sure where he got that lol!
When I’m off the clock, you’ll find me eating something delicious or planning our next vacation. Here’s a peek at everything else my multi-passionate self gets into outside of work.
Reading
I love reading. Getting into a good book is the best, and that means anything from a great mystery to sci-fi, and even self-help and business books.
All the Coffee
Give me all the Coffee. I was a former Starbucks Barista for 16 years, and it really instilled my love for coffee and how to make the perfect cup and all about roasting beans.
DIY Crafts
If you can think of it, it is safe to say I have tried to make it. I love making jewelry and things with my Cricut like t-shirts, cups, cards and anything I can gift to my friends!
Playing the Piano
My newest passion is the desire to learn the Piano. A quick trip to pick up a used piano on FB Marketplace (a surprise trip sprung upon my husband) has made me the best Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star player.
Painting
After a wine-sipping painting class I decided to read a book about watercolor paints and jumped into it. I love watercolors and do acrylic paints as well. I love a good scenery picture. Maybe someday I will try oil paints.
Gardening
In case you couldn't tell by my brand I love gardening! I produced 10lbs of strawberries this year and they are my son's favorite food. I also ended up with an insane amount of tomatoes and learned how to can them because of it.
Disc Golf
Ok, this one is more a dual love. That's because I love hiking, and this is one of my husband's favorite sports. I love playing, but let's just say I am not that skilled and won't be winning anything anytime soon.
Sewing
My mom taught me how to sew when I was little and she is a true seamstress. I have made my own clothes and can mend things. This is probably my favorite hobby and I have taught other littles.
Baking
So unfortunately, I was cursed with Celiac disease, and before finding out, I was a huge baker. So I set out to find and make the best recipes, so you have no clue they are gluten-free.

It is me plus a hand-picked team of developers and designers. I lead every project and handle your strategy and branding myself, and you work with me directly from the first conversation to the last.
How long have you been in business?
Byte of Inspiration was founded in 2024.
I have been building websites since I was a teenager, and after my own blog went nowhere. I then worked in the marketing department of a local car dealership and chose to invest in advanced training in SEO, web development, and digital agency strategy.
I also had the opportunity to work at a digital marketing agency with the owner, who encouraged me to launch my own company.
What kind of businesses do you work with best?
Mostly established businesses that are great at what they do but are not showing up online the way they should.
I also love working with solo owners and startups. The process just looks a little different, because we are building your foundation from scratch and usually on a fixed budget.
Do you work with businesses outside Massachusetts?
Yes. Most of our clients are in Central Massachusetts, but the method works anywhere. What changes is the research, not the approach.
